Undoubtedly one of the best releases of 2017. Wholly original, amazingly brutal, and strikingly beautiful all at once. Incredible album. Highly highly recommended. Can't believe I'm not hearing about this one everywhere, but I'm certainly telling everyone.
Favorite track: Blue Lotus.
A mind-crushing avantgarde doom metal monster in which the torments of madness, alienation, and mental disease coalesce into a devouring implosion of collapsing emotions and suffocating sonic obliteration. Show of Bedlam have created the perfect synthesis between the visionary and magnificent sonic exploration of bands like Neurosis, Swans, and Godflesh, the decadent atmospheres of goth-punk legends like Christian Death and Bauhaus, and the derailing musical psychosis of noise rock innovators like Butthole Surfers, Today Is The Day, and Zeni Geva. For fans of Anatomy of Habit, Indian, Lord Mantis, Swans, Bodychoke, Diamanda Galas, Made Out of Babies, Battle of Mice, and mid-career Neurosis.

Why do people like this music? Because they hate how it carries them away? How it transfers sound into inner peace? How it is right on, as a combination of all right sounds and tempo; like a violent peace that it is?
I just don’t know. FakeFur777
