Slut Aus Nord Enchanting war metal with a psychedelic edge and some fantastic art. Elements of other genres are judiciously tossed in like spices enhancing a meal - yet the album feels cohesive and focused even with these flourishes. Favorite track: A Digression and Her Eternal Domain Above the Atmosphere.

j-kep This is the death metal of worlds and landscapes that have never existed but you somehow know are there. Like Lovecraft’s Dream Realm came to life in sonic form. It’s enchanting and terrifying and pulls you in deeper with every moment. Favorite track: A Digression and Her Eternal Domain Above the Atmosphere.

Tampertronics My dream riffs. Sick and twisted, atonal, groovy, slow and dirty. War metal with a melodic edge. Digressions into good proggy shit. This album should make quite a few EoY lists. Favorite track: A Digression and Her Eternal Domain Above the Atmosphere.

Shane Cotee Track 2 started with that irresistible oldschool Finn-death vibe, and that was it for me. Can't help but love this album, and its cover, and everything else so far. I might become a promoter just to have these guys and Krypts in the same room for but a few minutes. Cheers dudes, this rules. With death metal ritualized and used almost as an aural rite of passage to a higher order, on the devastating new opus the recluse Italian duo explore concepts pertaining to time, cyclicality, fatality, and to death as the true engine and ultimate motivator of life, and submit to the symbolism of chaos to access the higher knowledge and order which comes through it. An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
